JeffSolves

Training medical students to think like designers.

Program partnership between 10XBeta and Thomas Jefferson University.
Scope: Curriculum development, design workshops facilitation, teaching, co-creating, identifying innovation and business opportunities in the field of healthcare.

JeffSolves, an initiative led by Thomas Jefferson University, aims to bring faculty members and medical students from across the Jefferson community together to generate innovative solutions for urgent healthcare problems. To further the initiative, Thomas Jefferson University partnered with 10XBeta to provide students access to an innovation-driven product management company guidance through the co-invention process, and assistance with the development of novel medical devices.

Berk Ilhan co-created a Design Thinking curriculum tailored for medical students. He also co-directed the program for three years, by facilitating design workshops, inviting thought leaders as guest lectures, and giving lectures himself. Berk also produced the video-storytelling materials of the first two years of the program.
